As Norwegian Cruise Line prepared to unveil their newest ship, the Norwegian Prima, FIMI was called upon to secure the ship’s Godmother and Christening Event entertainers. Appointing a Godparent is a longstanding maritime tradition, which is an ambassador role that includes christening the ship amongst other services.

The Norwegian Prima was designed for trailblazers and tastemakers, and FIMI secured Katy Perry as the ultimate fit.  The partnership kicked off with Norwegian executives hosting media for an exclusive press event and meet & greet at Katy Perry’s “Play” residency at Resorts World Las Vegas, where Katy announced her ambassador role. The partnership culminated in Reykjavik, Iceland where Katy Perry christened the ship and delivered a dazzling performance, after which, she set sail aboard the ship for its inaugural sailing along with press, ex>In addition to facilitating all aspects of Katy Perry’s role as Godmother, FIMI successfully programmed additional entertainment for the Christening Event & inaugural sailing, booking 8 acts in 5 countries over the course of 9 days – acts included Bríet, Daði Freyr, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Iceland Dance Company, Cheat Codes, Kool & The Gang and Chaka Khan.
