Norwegian Cruise Line’s second ship in the Prima class, the Norwegian VIVA, will be unveiled in Miami, FL in November 2023. While encouraging all guests onboard to Live It Up, the Norwegian will become the largest ship to ever home port out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Norwegian tapped into FIMI to source an A-List celebrity for the role of Godparent and curate an evening of multi-stage programming for the upcoming Christening event in Miami, FL.

FIMI booked one of Puerto Rico’s most famous stars, Luis Fonsi, a five-time Latin GRAMMY® winning singer, as Norwegian Viva’s Godparent. To announce the partnership, Norwegian hosted an exclusive press event at LoanDepot Park where Fonsi participated in press interviews with iHeartRadio’s Enrique Santos & Elvis Duran, and met and mingled with press, Norwegian leadership, and MLB leadership. The following day, Fonsi threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Miami Marlins baseball game.

In addition to curating this global partnership, FIMI programmed an evening of Latin entertainment for VIVA’s Christening Event, booking The Queen of Latin Pop, Paulina Rubio; “Saturday Night Live” cast member and Miami-native, Marcello Hernandez; and singer, Pedro Capó to help celebrate the ship’s milestone in Miami, FL this upcoming November.
